Bloomington woman reports rape

A Bloomington woman contacted the Bloomington Police Department early Wednesday morning after she was allegedly raped.\nThe victim, a 22-year-old woman, told police that she met her alleged attacker on MySpace and decided to meet him for dinner, BPD Sgt. Jeff Canada said, reading from a police report. The victim said the suspect did not want to drive home, so she directed him to a Motel 6. \nThe victim said she was raped in the suspect’s hotel room. She told police the suspect was drinking before the rape occurred. \nAfter the rape, the victim went to the hospital immediately for examination, Canada said. She had abrasions to her face and elbow.\nOfficers were unable to locate the suspect or his vehicle.\nAnyone with any information is encouraged to call Det. Rob Shrake at 349-4477.

Bouncer, bystander assaulted with skateboards

Two Bloomington men were arrested Wednesday night after alledgedly hitting two people with their skateboards.\nRandey Riggle, 24, and Robert Reynolds, 23, both face preliminary charges of battery, resisting law enforcement and public intoxication.\nBloomington Police Department officers were dispatched to The Bluebird, located at 215 N. Walnut St., in response to a disturbance, Canada said, reading from a police report. Officers learned that Riggle and Reynolds were loitering outside of the bar and the bouncer asked them to leave. One of the suspects swung his skateboard at the bouncer, but missed and hit another man, Canada said. The other man hit the bouncer in the head with his skateboard before both men fled the scene. Officers located Reynolds at Seventh and Grant Streets and Riggle at Seventh and Dunn Streets, Canada said.\nBoth men were arrested and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
