Two police officers direct traffic at Jordan Avenue and Seventh Street Tuesday afternoon during the late afternoon thunderstorm. The IU Police Department got complaints that traffic would get backed up at this intersection between 4 and 6 p.m. They sent two police officers to direct traffic there, said IUPD Sgt. Chad Bennett.\nStudents also encountered power outages at home and on campus. The business school lost power momentarily at around 5:15 p.m., which caused alarms to go off.
