Here's what WEEKEND is talking about this week:

"Californication": Showtime's new show chronicles the sex-filled life of best-selling author Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Characters' dialogue is unreserved, hook ups are plentiful, yet a sense of clarity follows each episode's conclusion.

Awesome tickets: Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello: Tickets for the Oct. 19 show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at the IU Auditorium and Ticketmaster locations. Such a hefty amount of awesomeness cannot be contained in the IU Auditorium, so the show will be in Assembly Hall.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm": The last season of Larry David's HBO show premieres Sept. 9. This season's story line revolves around Larry and Cheryl sharing their home with survivors of Hurricane Katrina. WEEKEND is praying for the triumphant return of Krazy Eyez Killa.

"Gimme More": Britney Spears' latest single is all over the Internet and expected to flood airwaves this week. Although her voice on the track is so over-processed she sounds like Kylie Minogue tripping on helium underwater, let's just hope the single is successful. It would be frightening to see what she'd chop off if it wasn't.

Kanye vs. 50 Cent: Both artists' albums, Graduation and Curtis respectively, leaked on the Net last week. Both albums are scheduled to drop Sept. 11 and, as of press time, there is no word if either artist is considering pushing up his release date. WEEKEND predicts 50 will flinch first.

The Minisode Network: MySpace.com offers the classic shows you love, only shorter. People can watch snippets of shows like "Diff'rent Strokes," "Starsky and Hutch," "Silver Spoons," and many more. Good way to catch up on old shows in a short amount of time.

Larry Craig: The senator from Idaho was arrested for lewd conduct in a Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport bathroom. It's sad and pathetic a senator has to travel all the way across the country just to get some ass; and then get arrested for his trouble.

"The Music of the Beatles" professor Glenn Gass: "She was a prostitute, I was a Beatles fan, it just wasn't meant to be"
