Making sure you don't sound stupid

Capt. Buthius shares all the lingo you'll need to know

Right Flank: The right side of the field. Also known as right tape. \nLeft Flank: The left side of the field. Also known as left tape. \nCenter 50: The very center of the field. \nMarker: A paintball gun. \nPods: Holders for extra paintballs, also known as guppie tubes. \nOPFOR: Short for "opposing force," any player not on allied team. \nDefense: The players in charge of defending a base or flag station. \nOffense: The players in charge of attacking the other bases or flag stations. \nAPV: Armored paintball vehicle, an on-field playable tank. \nHospital: The place where eliminated players go for a period of time.

Commander: The team's commander is the quarterback of the entire operation.\nPoint Man: The very first person in the attacking squad; also serves as scout.\nSniper: The sniper is a player that can hit a target from a long distance. He or she must be able to move quickly and quietly into a well-covered position. \nLight Gunner: A player that can move quickly but carries less ammo. \nHeavy Gunner: A player that has a faster marker and carries much more ammo on their person than a normal player.\nMedic: Player or players that can "heal" a player if he or she has been eliminated from a game. This saves other players from going to the hospital.
