Instructor: WEEKEND OBJECTIVE: Arm you with a quick list of what's hot (and cool) this summer. COURSE DESCRIPTION: We know it's not fancy. And we know it's not everything there is to do this summer. Roller Skating -- Don't throw out your bell bottoms • Western Skateland -- 332-7288, 930 W. 17th St. • Hours are Friday 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Admission for these times is $5 per person plus $1 skate rental. Wednesdays they are open from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and admission is only $3.50 which includes skate rentals. Bowling -- Wii doesn't have drink specials • Suburban Lanes -- 332-9345, 2634 N. The price for 10 or less people is $25/hr, and for more than 10 it is $35/hr. Fun with Science -- • WonderLab -- 337-1337, 308 W. 4th St. • Regular hours are Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Regular adult admission is $6.50. First Fridays of the month admission is only $3 after 5 p.m. and the lab extends its hours to 8:30 p.m.
Outdoor Adventures -- If you dream it you can do it • In its new location by the bowling alley in the Union, IUOA's Assistant Programmer Andy Ballard summed up their mission. "We're one-stop shopping for anything adventure," he said. Patrons can rent tents, sleeping bags and all gear to make their dream adventure come true. • If that's not enough, IUOA has a consultant who will help you plan the trip of your dreams. Your imgaination is the limit. Take advantage of IUOA while you're a student, it's a fraction of the price.
