IU football coach Terry Hoeppner landed the No. 1 high-school football recruit in Indiana this weekend, Warren Central High School safety Jerimy Finch, after Finch made an official visit to the IU campus, according to recruiting Web site Rivals.com. \nFinch, who won a state title with Warren Central this season, originally gave a verbal commitment to Michigan. Finch retracted his earlier commitment to Michigan and verbally committed to the Hoosiers. \nRivals.com ranks Finch as the No. 30 player in the nation and the No. 2 player at his position. He is listed at 6-foot-1 and 203 lbs. \nHoeppner also added another Warren Central player, defensive end Jeff Boyd. \nIU is not at liberty to talk about recruits until official signing day, which is Feb. 7.\nWarren Central is Indiana's premiere high-school football program, having won four consecutive class 5A state titles.\nCheck www.idsnews.com and Tuesday's Indiana Daily Student for updates.
