Student comments insensitive

I am absolutely appalled that you would print such moronic and insensitive comments from students with regards to Steve Irwin's death in your Sept. 5 print edition. It is an embarrassment to IU and its students that you would allow such distasteful comments such as "it's funny" to find its way into your paper. No matter your thoughts on him, Irwin was an important Australian icon and an admired man throughout the world. By degrading his death in this manner, I have lost all of the little respect I still held for the IDS.
