A tow truck driver reported he was threatened with a shotgun while driving through Bloomington Monday.\nThe 20-year-old driver was traveling southbound in the 900-block of South Walnut Avenue at about 9:20 p.m. when a truck in the right hand lane pulled up next to him, said Bloomington Police Department Detective Sgt. David Drake, reading from the police report.\nThe driver looked over at the vehicle and saw a passenger with what appeared to be a pump-action shotgun in his hands, pointing the gun at the truck, according to police reports.\nTwo white men sat in the truck, a mid-90s, red Dodge four-by-four. According to the tow truck driver, the truck slowed as it passed him before speeding up again. \n"They passed me slowly and stared," the tow truck driver reported to the police.\nThe driver first called his boss to report the incident while following the truck for about 15 minutes. He stopped tailing the vehicle about a mile past Smithville Road and headed to the police station to report the men.\nA license plate number was submitted to the BPD. Officers also searched the area where the incident occurred but failed to locate anything.
