Spanish-Australian group offers $3.8 billion to operate Indiana Toll Road for 75 years

• Statewide Mobility Partners, which has bid $3.8 billion to operate the Indiana Toll Road for 75 years, is a consortium of Spain's Cintra and Macquarie Infrastructure Group of Sydney, Australia.\n• Cintra Concesiones De Infraestructuras De Transporte, SA, of Madrid, designs, builds, manages and maintains roads and parking lots worldwide.\n• As of December 2003, the company managed 16 toll roads in at least six countries, including Canada's 407 ETR highway.\n• Macquarie Infrastructure Group has a portfolio of 25 toll roads in eight countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany and Portugal.\n• The two companies operate the Chicago Skyway, a $1.8 billion deal.
