Bloomington Police Department officers talked a man armed with a pair of hand guns into giving up his weapons after a 2 1/2 hour standoff Monday afternoon.\nOfficers responded to a request for an emergency detention on the 2900 block of Ramble Road, where they found a 37-year-old Bloomington resident sitting on the couch with a .357-caliber magnum and a .32-caliber handgun. After 2 1/2 hours of speaking to the man, police finally convinced him to give up the weapons peacefully. He was then taken into custody before being transported to Bloomington Hospital. \nNo charges were filed and police did not release the man's name.
