Investigations continue in a hit-and-run case involving Kevin Moore, 35, a Bedford resident charged with battery and arrested for leaving the scene of car accident which killed Robin Pfister, according to the Bloomington Herald Times. \nIndiana State Police and the Monroe Co. Sherriff's Dept. have been working together to establish the series of events surrounding the case, which involves a call to the police from Moore's wife, accusing him of battery, followed by the hit and run which left Pfister, 44, dead. The State Police have been investigating the battery case, while the Sheriff's Office is looking into the hit and run.\nDetectives at the Sheriff's Office did not return phone calls Sunday. \nAccording to Senior State Trooper Charles Sorrell, Moore and his wife were camping at a campsite off of Springville-Harrodsburg Rd. At some point in the morning, Moore's wife called the police after a dispute broke out. There were witnesses to the altercation, one of whom helped removed Moore from the area. \nShortly before 1 p.m., the Herald Times reported, Moore was traveling northbound in his Jeep when he struck Pfister, a Monroe County resident who was returning to her car from a garage sale in the 8300 block of Old St. Rd. 37. According to that story, Moore flipped his Jeep after speeding away from the scene and fled his crashed vehicle on foot. Investigators think Moore was picked up by a friend near Cedar Bluff Road. \nSorrell said he arrested Moore in Bedford and charged him with battery. \nThe campgrounds where Moore and his wife were staying were close to the site of the ABATE Boogie, where motorcyclists gathered for a Lynyrd Skynyrd performance. Although Moore was seen riding a motorcycle earlier in the week, Sorrell said there was no connection to the event. \nMoore was supposed to be extradited to the Monroe County Jail from Lawrence Country this weekend. But as of Sunday afternoon, officials at the jail were still awaiting his transfer.
