In response to the Thursday May 12 column, "To the remaining, b-ware," I think Matt Glenesk needs to apologize to every single person who lives in Bloomington. The harsh stereotypes he has leveled on us all can only be described as both hurtful and wrong. \nAs a 13-year resident of Bloomington, I know that I and my fellow residents take pride in the diversity of our town. Yes, some members of Monroe County may have mullets or chew Skoal but to place such a pronouncement on everyone shows that some members of IU have yet to learn about tolerance and diversity. I'm proud to call myself a townie. In conversations with other IU students, being a townie is quaint in many eyes, not hickish.
