March Madness has finally arrived. But for the Indiana women's basketball team, the madness took a back seat Tuesday afternoon as coach Kathi Bennett announced her resignation at the end of the season.\nThough Bennett announced she will not return to the Hoosiers next season, she plans on coaching IU through the Big Ten Tournament. The cream and crimson enter the tourney at Conseco Fieldhouse with the ninth seed and are set to face off against Wisconsin at 3 p.m.\nThis is the third year in a row when IU and Wisconsin will meet in the Big Ten Tournament. IU won both the 2004 and 2003 meetings, along with a 71-66 win against the Badgers earlier this year. \n"Our mental attitude is the same it has always been," Branson said. "We are just really focusing on Wisconsin right now and getting the win."\nThe announcement of Bennett's departure came just two days short of the Big Ten Conference Tournament and surprised many. Junior Cyndi Valentin -- recently named honorable mention All-Big Ten by the coaches and media -- was saddened to hear the news of Bennett's resignation but feels the team is focused on the Big Ten Tournament despite the recent change in the program, she said.\n"As a team we are very sorry to see her go," Valentin said. "She has really helped this program and has really helped us as players develop. But our focus and her focus is on the Big Ten Tournament and we are trying to make a run, go in there and play hard"
