Tibetan monastery displays relics\nA collection of Buddist relics is coming to the Chamtse Ling Temple, 3655 Snoddy Rd., this weekend. Collected by Lama Zopa Rinpoche, The Heart Shrine Relic Tour, which features pearl-like deposits often found in the cremation ashes of Buddhist spiritual masters, will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Buddhists believe the relics are formed by spiritual realizations of compassion and wisdom. Buddhist artifacts and tooth and bone relics will also be on display. These relics are usually enshrined in temples and rarely available for public viewing. According to Buddhist belief, viewing the sacred relics inspires loving-kindness and personal contribution to world peace. Parking at the event costs $3. Admission is free but donations to the Heart Shrine are welcomed.
