Phish finale not exactly gold

Could this be the very last studio album that the four members of Phish ever record together? My guess is no, but if they ever do record another album, it will be some 10 years from now, and its sole intent will be to raise funds to save the rain forest. I mean come on, they're hippies. \nWhile I am not a huge Phish fan, I will be one of the first to admit Phish puts on one hell of a live show. However, this intensity does not always transfer over to the studio. Phish has recorded numerous studio albums, but it's always the live albums that fans search for and covet.\nAs far as Phish's studio albums go, Undermind hits right about par. While there are some catchy tunes (the title track and "The Connection"), the album is not exactly upbeat, and it sort of drags toward the end. But this is not to say there are no pluses.\nThe instrumental "Maggie's Revenge" mixes things up in the middle with a heavy, almost slow, hardcore sound. But the crown jewel of Undermind is the last track: a flawless sounding barbershop quartet, "Grind," that concludes the band's existence. While seeing its last performance would be ideal, the final Phish album is a decent token prize.
