Mali puppet exhibition comes to Art Museum\nBeginning today, the IU Art Museum will feature a collection of puppets at the Focalpoint Gallery on the museum's third floor.\nThe puppets come from Mali in West Africa. Traditionally associated with the Banama people, they represent animals, people and spirits. The show will pay tribute to real and mythological people.\nThe exhibition will continue through September and can be viewed during normal museum hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.\nFor more information, contact Joe Davis of the IU Art Museum at joedavis@indiana.edu, or visit the museum's Web site at www.indiana.edu/~iuam.

Noted musicians welcomed for concert\nThe Summer Music Festival Chamber Music Series will welcome Barnabas Keleman and Shai Wosner for a concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Auer Concert Hall.\nKeleman, a noted violinist, and Wosner, a pianist, will play together and separately.\nThe cost to attend is $14 for non-students and $8 for students.\nFor more information, contact the School of Music at musicpub@indiana.edu or visit the Web site at http://music.indiana.edu/summer.

Spanish-speaking students to practice conversation skills\nThe Spanish Department will hold a Spanish Conversation Hour from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Wright Food Court.\nThe event will be an opportunity for students to use their Spanish-speaking skills with other students in an informal setting.\nFor more information, contact the Spanish Department at intlcent@indiana.edu.

Musical Arts Center to hold concert\nAs part of the Summer Music Festival, the School of Music will welcome conductor Stephen Pratt and his band for a concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday on the lawn of the Musical Arts Center.\nThe concert will feature works by Gounod, Holst, Erickson, Bellstedt, Dello Joio, Sadel, Tucci, Daehn, Ellington and Sousa.\nIn the event of rain, the location will be moved to the MAC Recital Hall.\nFor more information, visit the Summer Music Festival Web site at http://music.indiana.edu/summer.
