IU Outdoor Adventures offers classes, workshops\nIU Outdoor Adventures will offer a rock climbing class Saturday designed for beginners as part of a series of classes for beginning and intermediate rock climbers. \nParticipants in these programs can expect to build a solid foundation of skills in the field of rock climbing. The beginning class covers basic skills such as climbing movements, knots, belaying and an overview on equipment. \nThe cost is $50 per session for students. Another beginner class will be offered June 17.\nIU Outdoor Adventures will also hold a Wilderness Steward Backpacking Program Sunday. The training program will teach students basic skills of backpacking and builds to a three-day backpacking trip to the Red River Gorge, Ky., which may be attended by participants with instructor approval at a cost of $105 for students and $150 for non-students.\nParticipants will receive a certificate of completion from the Wilderness Education Association and will be offered the opportunity to participate in a seven-day backpacking trip to Grand Teton National Park, Wyo., with instructor approval. This trip costs $350 for students and $500 for non-students.\nSunday's workshop, titled Leave No Trace, will cost $35 for students and $50 for non-students.
