Peoples Park plays the Blues\nBlues/jazz band, Carlyn Lindsey and SnakeDoctor will perform in Peoples Park 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday as part of Bloomington's free Tuesday Concert Series.

Buskirk-Chumley to present 'Golden Age of Hollywood'\nBuskirk-Chumley Theater, Bloomington Parks and Recreation and IU's Department of Communication and Culture kick off a tribute to classic film of the 1930s and 40s with their Golden Age of Hollywood film series with a free viewing of "Gaslight" at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday. Directed by George Cukor, "Gaslight" received seven Academy Award nominations. Ingrid Bergman won the first of her three Oscars for her role in this thriller as Paula Alquist, a wealthy socialite, who was swept off her feet by Gregory Anton played by Charles Boyer Upon returning to their London home from the honeymoon, Bergman fears she has lost her mind when she hears strange sounds from the attic. Angela Lansbury makes her screen debut as a saucy maid in this 1944 film which will show at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater at 114 E. Kirkwood Ave.

Shakespeare to come to Bear's Place \nTavern Shakespeare, a professional not-for-profit theater company which performs comedic Shakespearean shorts, will perform at Bear's Place, 1316 E. 3rd St. at 10 p.m. Wednesday. The troupe will perform "900 Seconds of Hamlet and Will's Shorts," a quick comedic rendering of Shakespeare's famous tragedy for a $3 cover charge.
