Speaking of confessions, it's only appropriate that all the ladies admit to our obsession with Usher, frequently referred to as the "Michael Jackson of Generation Y." The boy sings and dances like none other than the King of Pop himself. And that body? Good lord. But after listening to his own Confessions, I am forced to admit something else: I am unimpressed. There are a few highlights, such as the first single, "Yeah!" which is produced by rapper Lil' Jon. The catchiness of the chorus and the bumping bass line have already made it a club hit, and "Caught Up" seems a likely second single for similar reasons. \nFor the remaining songs, I was expecting the intricate melodies and innovative lyrics which Usher is known for ("You Remind Me" and "U Don't Have to Call"), but he opts instead for old school R&B-flavored tunes. Problem is, romance is completely absent in every jam. In "Confessions, Pt. 2," Usher fesses up to his girlfriend after impregnating another girl whose name he can't remember. "That's What Its Made For" is an ode to condoms (no joke!), though he admits to not using them in the heat of the moment. By the last track, I've come to realize that Usher's Confessions is still pretty dirty even after coming clean.
Usher's 'Confessions' should remain unheard
