Fusion party says it promises realistic goals through collaboration with student groups on campus

Q: What is your ticket's position on the University-imposed ban on smoking within 30 feet of University buildings?\nA: Students shouldn't be forcefully subjected to secondhand smoke, but smokers have rights and pay tuition, as well. In residence halls, the ban only encourages the hazards that come with smoking in rooms. In classroom buildings, certain entrances should be designated non-smoking.

Q: How would you promote safety on campus?\nA: We all know what goes on during the weekends. If you choose to walk home, need to go to the hospital or need a ride home, we will work with the city and the University to ensure that you are safe.

Q: What kind of relationship will IUSA have with the Greek system?\nA: The Greek governing systems -- Panhellenic, IFC and MCFC -- know what is best for them, and we want to work with them to realize their needs. We want to have a liaison and partnership with all the Greek organizations.

Q: IUSA has considerable influence, but it can't work alone. Who will you work with to get things done?\nA: Everybody! We've already been working with individual students and organizations on campus. We feel it is not the responsibility of students and organizations to come to us. It is our responsibility to go to them.
