Graduate employees join together\nThe Graduate Employees Organization is holding a meeting for all graduate students who work at the University at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Frangipani Room of the Indiana Memorial Union. The organization works to alleviate graduate employee concerns, including receiving better benefits, more equitable working conditions and a stronger voice for members. \nThe group will form committees and outline specific short-term and long-term goals at the meeting.\nExecutive to speak on music business\nLarry Jacobson, vice president of administration for Universal Music Group, will speak on "The Changing Music Business," at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Fine Arts, Room 015. Jacobson is an IU alumnus, was the Union Board Concerts Director, Disc Jockey for WTTS and B97, and co-producer of the "Live From Bloomington" project.\nLindsy Serrano, Union Board lectures assistant director said in a statement, "This is a lecture for anyone who wants to know about the ins and outs of the recording industry."\nThe event is free and open to the general public. Merrim is professor of Comparative Literature and Hispanic Studies at Brown University. She has published widely on colonial and contemporary Latin American literature. Her latest book, "Early Modern Women's Writing and Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz," was published in 1999. Suggested donations include canned soups, fruit, meat, vegetables and peanut butter. Collection locations are available at the Ashton's center building, Briscoe's center building and wellness center entrance, Collins' Edmondson lobby, Eigenmann's first floor lobby near the elevators, Forest's center lobby, Foster's Harper lobby, McNutt's center building, Read's Landes lobby, Teter's lobby next to the ATM machine, Willkie's center building lobby and Wright's lobby near the center desk.
