Muslim groups discuss meaning of prayer\nThe Bloomington Muslim Dialog Group is holding a coffee hour to discuss the meaning of prayer. Three students from different faiths will discuss the effects of prayer on one's life from their own perspective. The event will be held from 8 to 10:30 p.m., Thursday, at the President's Room of the University Club in the Indiana Memorial Union. The event is free and will offer food after the panel. Physics and Astronomy hold open house\nThe Physics and Astronomy Departments will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, in Swain Hall West. The Exploratorium will contain over 50 hands-on investigations of light, color, electricity, seismology, cosmic rays and more. \nThis year's lecture is "James Bond, 007: From Physics with Love." It will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in Swain Hall West, Room 117. IU physicists will demonstrate that many of the gadgets in Bond movies are based on physics. A presentation on "Exploring Mars Today" will be held at 11 a.m. in Swain Hall West, Room 117. Retired Indian leader to give lecture on security\nGen. V. P. Malik, former chief of staff for the Indian army and chairman of the chiefs of staff committee of India, will speak at 6 p.m., Friday, in Wylie Hall, Room 005. The India Studies Department, the Military Science Department, the Political Science Department and the Office of International Programs will host the event.
