This is one of the most ridiculous movies ever. It's cheap, immature, goofy and stereotypical. It's so white, it's not, and I loved every second of it.\n"Malibu's Most Wanted" is the story of B-Rad Gluckman (Jamie Kennedy), son of a governor hopeful. He has aspirations of becoming the great white rapper, and flaunts his style, or lack there of, on his demo entitled "Malibootay." Rolling around in his tricked-out Escalade with his notorious crew of fellow wiggers, he tries to convey the hard-knock life of growing up overprivileged in the streets of Malibu, a place where traffic is smothering and people trespass on private beachfront properties. His father's campaign is starting to suffer because of B-Rad's incessant whiteness. So, daddy's staff comes up with a plan: Hire actors (Taye Diggs, Anthony Anderson) to carjack the boy and take him deep into the ghetto for a while to scare the black out of him. \nB-Rad's character is based on a conception Jamie Kennedy uses frequently on his WB show, "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment." He's funny on the show, and also in the movie. There's not much to the plot, as can be expected. Things go wrong, B-Rad ends up in danger and then has this whole sappy getting-his-father-to-appreciate him thing going on, but it's fun. The film's players (pun intended), though stereotypical, are hilarious. This movie pokes fun at pretty much every convention that exists in the realms of hip-hop, posing, street life and yes, race. There is a commentary running throughout on what it means to be "black" or "white," and accepting others for who they are, and be who you are, etc. It's admirable, but the real fun comes from watching Kennedy "represent." He's hilarious. Aside from that, Taye Diggs is hysterical as a Juliard-trained thespian who has trouble finding his inner black rage in order play his thug role. The scenes of him getting into character are priceless. \nOther highlights include a rap battle embarrassment a-la "8 Mile," a childhood flashback to his O.P.P.-themed bar mitzvah, a great "Training Day" spoof and Snoop Dogg's cameo as a gangsta rat. Fans of Seth Green in "Can't Hardly Wait" should love this comedic gem. Just don't think too hard.
