Creed fan violates restraining order, arrested before concert\nOKLAHOMA CITY - A fan of the rock band Creed was thrown in jail, accused of violating a restraining order filed by the group's lead singer.\nTamera Jeanine Andrade, 35, was arrested last Saturday night before Creed's concert at the Ford Center.\nLead singer Scott Stapp filed the restraining order in Florida, police said.\nAndrade had a ticket to the show, a copy of the restraining order and a page from an address book with Stapp's home address when she was arrested outside the arena, police said.\nThe restraining order says Andrade must stay at least 500 feet from any building where Stapp is, police said.\nHer bond was set at $2,000.

Filter drops out of Rellim tour after singer checks into clinic\nMADISON, Wis. - Filter has dropped out of the Rellim Tour because the band's lead singer has checked himself into a rehabilitation center, the tour's promoter said in a new release.\nClear Channel Entertainment said Tuesday there are no plans to reschedule the canceled shows, but the band hopes to be back on the road early in the new year.\n"I want to apologize to all my friends and fans for having to cancel these upcoming shows, but right now I'm concerned about my health and want to get back into the best physical and mental condition to go back on the road next year," singer Richard Patrick said in the release.\nThe tour had dates scheduled throughout October in Minneapolis; Madison, Wis.; Chicago; Detroit; Columbus, Ohio; Philadelphia; Boston; Indianapolis; Atlanta; Tampa, Fla., and Miami.

State board green lights use of sacred site for wrestler's film\nHONOLULU - The state land board has approved a movie company's use of a site considered sacred by Hawaiian royalty, but imposed stringent conditions on the stunt planned for the film starring The Rock.\nThe state Board of Land and Natural Resources approved an action scene that involves flipping a jeep off a rock outcropping next to Kapena Falls and into the pool beneath.\n"The jeep will be steam-cleaned, have no engine, transmission or glass and will be removed after the stunt by helicopter to avoid damage to surrounding areas," the board said in a news release.\nKapena Falls, just outside downtown Honolulu, was a sacred bathing area for Hawaiian royalty in ancient times.\nThe Rock, a World Wrestling Entertainment star whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, lived in Honolulu for part of his youth. In addition to the current production, he says he has been tapped to star in a film on the life of Hawaiian warrior king Kamehameha the Great.

ZZ Top back in the saddle to finish European tour after illness\nHOUSTON - ZZ Top finishes what it starts.\nThe "little ol' band from Texas" had to drop the European leg of its world tour in 2000 when bassist Dusty Hill fell ill with Hepatitis C.\nNow that Hill is better, he and his two band mates are ready to rock the continent throughout October.\n"I'm living proof that Hepatitis C can be contained and that ZZ Top cannot," said the 53-year-old Hill, who sports the band's trademark long beard along with guitarist Billy F. Gibbons.\nHill, Gibbons and drummer Frank Beard boarded a Lufthansa jet last week. The Houston trio began its European tour in Helsinki, Finland, Tuesday.\n"It's great that we can go out and do what we do for everybody who's been so supportive while we've been off the road," Beard said.\nThe 22-stop tour wraps up Nov. 1 in London.

Designer renames shoe for New York governor candidate\nNEW YORK - Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons has renamed a sneaker offered by his Phat Farm clothing label for a month in support of Democratic gubernatorial candidate H. Carl McCall.\nThe sneaker, known as the Phat Classic, will be called the Carl McCall running shoe during October, Simmons said. Simmons endorsed McCall over Republican Gov. George Pataki in mid-September.\n"I want people to race down to the polls," Simmons said.\nThe all-white sneaker features fat laces and a raised P in a crest logo on the side.\nSimmons said he planned to cut radio ads touting the shoe that would support McCall. He said there may be some point-of-sale support advertising, too.\nThe Pataki campaign had no comment.\nMusic mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs also given his support to McCall, the state comptroller. Pataki was endorsed last week by rapper LL Cool J, who met the governor in 2001 at the groundbreaking for an assisted-living center in Queens.
