Around the game

Junior Colin Christopher was released from the football team following IU's 40-13 loss to Utah. But the defensive tackle will still hold onto his scholarship until he graduates. Coach Gerry DiNardo said he was disappointed with Christopher's play.\n"We have certain expectations and standards that we expect our players to meet," DiNardo said. "And when they don't, we go in a different direction."\nChristopher had started the Hoosiers' first game against William & Mary and played a reserve role in last Saturday's game versus Utah.\nThe junior was credited with seven tackles in the first two games including two for a loss. He had also recorded one sack on the season. \nAttempts to reach Christopher were unsuccessful.
