2 girls allegedly shot by mother

INDIANAPOLIS -- Authorities are investigating the deaths of two young girls believed shot by their mother as they slept.\nThe mother later put the gun to her head after writing letters to several members of her family, police said.\nThe body of Tasha Reynolds, 39, was found shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday, lying in the room of her slain 12-year-old daughter, Char McMillan. A handgun was found inches from the mother's hand.\nFourteen-year-old Chondi McMillan's body was found in a nearby room in the home on the city's east side.\n"I am just so stunned ... just in shock," neighbor Carolyn Knapp said, steps from Reynolds' home. "She was so nice. I am amazed that someone could do that to their kids."\nDetective Timothy Knight said the motive for the two slayings and the suicide has yet to be determined.\nBut, he said, Reynolds indicated in at least seven letters to family members that she had been suffering emotionally.
