The IU Student Association will launch a new radio show on WIUS, Indiana's student radio station, starting tonight at 8 p.m. The show will air every Monday from 8-9 p.m. and will follow a talk show format, featuring commentary by the hosts IUSA President Jake Oakman and IUSA Chief of Staff Mike Katz, both seniors. The show will also feature a number of guests as well as an opportunity for students to call in and ask questions.\n"This is another opportunity to give students more access to IUSA and this is a chance for IUSA to use all the media sources available to the students," Oakman said in a release. "This radio show will be an instrumental element in our administration as it will give students the opportunity to listen to their student leaders discuss the issues of importance on this campus."\nKatz said he hopes the forum will provide another way for students to have their concerns voiced.\n"I am incredibly excited about it, I think it will be a lot of fun and hopefully students will participate," he said.\nThe Residential Programs and Services meal plan, the new Student Case Managers program from the Student Involvement Department, team CONNECT and the Illuminator, and some current events including IU's response to the terrorist attacks highlight the first show.\nWIUS can be heard on 1570 AM, and is also available on the Internet at http://www.indiana.edu/~wius. It is broadcast on Channel 2 of the residence halls cable system.
