Two robbers held up a pawn shop at gunpoint on the city's south side on Wednesday afternoon. No suspects have been arrested in connection with the robbery as the investigation is still in progress. \nPolice said two male suspects walked into Gold 'N' Pawn, 901 S. Walnut, around 12:20 p.m. posing as customers before displaying a silver semi-automatic hand gun and demanding "all of it."\n"They acted like they were purchasing items," said Capt. Joe Qualters of the Bloomington Police Department.\nThe robbers took an undisclosed amount of money along with a large quantity of gold chains and bracelets from the store. The culprits bound the owners of the shop with duct tape afterward, tore out the telephone from the wall and fled south on Walnut Street after the robbery, police said. The daughter of the shop's owner managed to get free and ran next door to All Star Auto Sales, 821 S. Walnut, asking for help. Her mother, who was still tied-up, stayed at the store.\n"She was suffocating and crying and standing in my store," said Barry Heard, owner of All Star Auto Sales.\nHeard's wife, Gretchen, called police after she came next door and authorities arrived a few minutes later with the evidence technician team. For the next few hours, authorities dusted for fingerprints and investigated the shop for clues. Many reports circulated about the whereabouts of the two suspects, but none of them turned up the robbers. One report from a Bigfoot attendant, just a few blocks south, said that two men with the same description were seen in an 1989 silver Cadillac around the time of the robbery. They are still at-large.\nBusinesses in the area are now concerned about the possibility of the suspects returning to rob their organizations.\n"It's very shocking because they can easily rob me just the same over here," Heard said.\nRay Lady of Hoosier Outdoor Advertising, across the street at 900 S. Walnut, said this type of crime doesn't happen too often.\n"I've been here 22 years, and we've only had one break-in," Lady said.\nAuthorities describe the robbers as two black males. One is described as five-foot-ten to six-feet tall with a medium to light complexion and long straight hair. He was seen in a dark blue shirt with dark pants. He also has a noticeable three-inch scar on his right forearm.\nThe other suspect has a darker complexion, six-feet tall and slender. He was seen wearing a dark shirt with dark pants.\nCurrently no suspects have been named in connection with the robbery. \nPolice ask that if you have any information to contact Bloomington Police Department at 339-4477 or Detective Joe Sanders at 349-3321.
