Steel

The essence of STEEL: Our strength in leadership, driven and defined by our most key elements, our people and our platform. We are bound by our love for IU and our commitment to making it a better place for students.\nWe draw our true power from our people. The students of the STEEL family are some of the most amazing people on campus. They have sacrificed a great deal to gather your opinion and be your voice on campus. They truly care about students and are ready to work hard. \nIUSA is the largest student organization on this campus; every student is a valued member. We will continue to return student government to the students. Ultimately, your concerns, your ideas, your voices will guide us.\nWe are not making promises we cannot keep. Our platform consists of concrete, tangible objectives -- practical, yet pressing, initiatives we can accomplish. We understand the limits and boundaries of IUSA. We know what we can -- and will -- do for you every day to make real strides in improving life at IU. STEEL is focused on real issues, and even more importantly, real solutions.\nIUSA has made tremendous progress this year. We want to continue to strengthen and improve the organization by continuing what good has been accomplished by the current administration. \nExperience counts. We know how to get the job done. We know IUSA and understand the resources and structure of the organization. Furthermore, we have established a respectful working-relationship with the administration. This experience and our connections translate to rapid and reliable results for students.\nWe want to continue and expand our support for student groups. We realize the tremendous value all the student groups bring to this campus; it is one of our primary goals to support their endeavors.\nWe will continue to place scrutiny on RPS to ensure quality of life in the residence halls. We will work to raise the accountability of RPS in its service to students.\nWe will work to preserve students' rights by fighting against the alcohol policy and double jeopardy in the judicial system. \nWe want to work to assist in the revitalization of the greek community. We realize greeks are often unfairly targeted and unjustly blamed. While only 20 percent of the student body is greek, we know their impact is much greater. We want to work to restore and revitalize a powerful force within this campus community.\nThis campaign has been an immensely positive experience for each of us. We believe we have highlighted key issues and offered real solutions. We have met with dozens of student organizations and greek chapters and have gained a great deal of insight as to what students across campus want. From campaigning door-to-door to sponsoring a "Straight No Chaser" concert to giving out free hot cocoa at the Express Bus stop, our focus has been to reach students. Our concern, throughout the campaign, as it will be if elected to office, has been, and will be, for students.\nServing you is what we do best. We will listen to you, work with you, work for you and take care of you. Let us get the job done.\nVisit www.votesteel.com for more information on our driving forces -- our people and our platform. Vote STEEL. We look forward to serving you.
