Condemn racist attacks

As a member of the armed forces for this great nation, I'm quite offended by the disrespect shown by this University in its silence as citizens. Diversity doesn't mean focus on the minority. Step up to the plate and show what it means to be an American.\nI hope to God that the violence members of this community have been committing against innocent Arab Americans are not indicative of the entire community's feelings. The reports that I have read and heard first-hand here at IU have been truly sickening. How could anyone call another human being a piece of "trash" because of what they believe, especially when they are just as disgusted by the violence as we all are?\nI mean, what if I decided to assault every white Christian person I saw because Tim McVeigh and Terry Nichols are white and Christian? This is the same logic that those who are committing these sickening and thoroughly un-American acts of prejudiced violence against their fellow citizens are following. I would like to make a call for every level-headed person in this community to condemn the racist actions of these ignorant people as being no better than those of the terrorists who have killed many in our cities.
