I would like to respond to James Boyd's "Officially Condemned to Hell" (IDS March 21) article. God can forgive everything we've done in a blink of an eye. He has the ability to do everything. But those who truly believe in God put Him first always. They strive to serve God, and when they falter, they ask for forgiveness. The goal of Christians is not to live our lives any way we please, and then simply ask to have our sins washed away. Instead, our goal is to strive toward God's will and ask for forgiveness when we falter.\nAlso, there is a Heaven and there is a Hell. And as bad as our Earth is, Hell is unimaginably worse. God is able and willing to forgive us all for our sins if we just seek Him. I encourage Boyd to go to a local church and speak with a minister. I encourage anyone who has questions about God and His love to do the same. They will have much better answers than I can provide.
God's forgiveness not taken for granted
