Police arrest man on several warrants\nPolice arrested a Bloomington man Tuesday who had warrants out for his arrest in two counties.\nAn officer on patrol observed two men hiding in the woods near Motel 8 by the 37 Bypass at about 3:11 a.m. Tuesday, police said. The man ran across the median onto the Third Street ramp, police said. \nThe officer approached the men and asked for identification. One of them, who was later arrested, falsely identified himself, police said. Upon further investigation, the officer found that there were three previous warrants on his name, police said. \nOne warrant was from Owen county for failure to appear in court on robbery charges. The man had two warrants out for separate counts of fraud and check deception in Monroe County. \nPolice arrested the man on the previous warrants, according to police reports. He also had six bags of marijuana in his possession, police reports said. \nJames Pendleton, 23, of 211 S. Kimble Drive, was arrested and held on preliminary charges of possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana and possessing false identification. He was also held on the three warrants.\nPendleton is being held at the Monroe County Correctional Center without bail.
