Volunteers will go to eight shelters to help fight hunger and homelessness in Bloomington.\nThe Hunger Cleanup is organized each year by INPIRG, which recruits volunteers to pledge them for the number of hours they plan to work. INPIRG volunteers vote on where the money will be donated. Half of the money raised this year will go to Hannah House, a pregnancy care shelter for unwed mothers and at-risk pregnancies. The other half will go to the National Student Campaign against Hunger and Homelessness, an organization that works to fight hunger and homelessness in the U.S. and internationally.\n"Although extremely challenging, the chance to make an actual impact on the community, to possibly change lives as students is definitely the most exciting part of this cleanup," coordinator Melissa Morris, a sophomore, said in a press release. \nVolunteers this year will go to several shelters, including Hannah House, Middleway House and Shelters Inc.
