'Bloomington' mural tells community, 'You Belong Here'

Bloomington welcomed a new mural to Peoples Park on Kirkwood Avenue Thursday afternoon. The mural, painted by local artist Eva Allen, depicts life in Bloomington in a vintage postcard style including basketball, limestone quarries, and the B-Line Trail. It is part of the City’s efforts to promote public art in the community.  Read more here.

Collin Hartman said at Thursday’s Big Ten Media Day in New York City that he has prepared for his final season with IU men’s basketball by focusing on turnovers and how not to commit them.  Read more here.


Researchers of divorce mediation earn award for outstanding collaboration

Two researchers, Amy Applegate and Amy Holtzworth Munroe, received IU’s Outstanding Faculty Collaborative Research Award for their research on divorce. The two women are known as “the Amys” by colleagues because of their great work relationship.  Read more here.


Annual TEDx Talk returns with Uncharted Waters theme

The annual TEDx Talk returns with a variety of speakers telling stories relating to this year's theme,  “Uncharted Waters.” The TEDx Talk will take place in the IU Auditorium at 6 p.m on Oct. 26. Ticket prices start at $15 for students and $25 for the general public. Tickets are available for purchase on the IU Auditorium website. Read more here.
