Cousins commit to Hoosiers together

For Jonathan Crawford and Donovan Hale, the family gets to stay together for at least another four years.

The cousins both committed to IU on Thursday, becoming commitments No. 16 and 17 for the Hoosiers’ class of 2015.

"I've chosen to spend my next four years at Indiana University #HoosierNation," both said in nearly identical Tweets.

Both Largo, Fla., natives, Crawford is a 6-foot-2, 175 pound safety ranked a 3-star prospect by 247Sports.

Hale is a two-sport athlete who has been recruited by schools for both basketball and football. The 6-foot-3, 200 pound athlete confirmed on Twitter that he will project to be a quarterback at IU.

The two added commitments bring even more versatility to a quickly growing 2015 class. The Hoosiers have gained momentum in the last few weeks, picking up seven 2015 commitments and former-UAB receiver Marqui Hawkins in the last eight days alone.

Although coaches cannot comment directly on players until they sign, IU running backs Coach Deland McCullough didn’t hide his excitement on Twitter.

McCullough Tweeted: “Hahahahahahahaha!!! Don’t act like you don’t see what’s going down. IU Baby!!!”
