IU to start Big Ten stretch with match against archrival Purdue

Ahead of this week’s first Big Ten bouts and fresh off of their Floridian excursion that saw the players brush aside two nonconference foes, the Hoosiers returned to Bloomington with a new look. In addition to sporting a tropical bronze, each player enlisted an unlikely space — his nape — as advertising space for a greater cause: camaraderie.

Rowing season starts with photo finish

Competing against home team and favorite No. 16 Clemson, the Hoosiers managed to tie the Tigers for first place in the 1st Varsity 8 race with a time of 6:46.21 in a finish that had to go to video review to conclude that it was a dead heat finish.

IU sends 4 divers to NCAA Championships after Zone C sweep

In addition to sweeping the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform dives, the Hoosiers will send four of their elite competitors to Federal Way, Wash., for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships from Thursday through Saturday.

IU places 7th in Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate

Traveling to the city of the Masters for the PGA Tour, the IU women’s golf team ventured to Augusta, Ga., for the Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate.The squad placed seventh in the 54-hole stroke play event at Forest Hills Golf Club.

IU faces ups, downs in Oklahoma, wins at home

On March 9-11, the Hoosiers competed in the Oklahoma Spring Festival in Norman, Okla. The Hoosiers finished the weekend 2-3, winning both games against Wichita State (6-18) and losing three games to then-No. 8 Oklahoma (24-3).
