No. 25 Hoosiers look to extend winning streak

On a seven-match winning streak that includes victories against No. 31 Ohio State and No. 45 Iowa, the No. 25 IU women’s tennis team will take on two opponents this weekend that could change its luck – unranked Michigan State and No. 19 Notre Dame.

3 seniors to play in final career home matches

As the No. 17 IU water polo team prepares for its final home games of the season, three seniors are ready for their last appearance at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center. The Hoosiers open the Fluid Five tournament against Wagner on Saturday and will face No. 19 Santa Clara on Sunday.

IU hosts 2nd straight home match

The IU rowing team will host its second home regatta this season when the Hoosiers take on Dayton and Eastern Michigan at Lake Lemon on Saturday. With every race inching closer to Big Ten play, the rowing team is trying to gain more speed and experience each weekend.

Clutch kicks in, team play hasn’t

Clutch moments have happened from time to time early in the IU softball season. In her first start, sophomore Kelli Ritchison’s game-saving catch in left field and senior catcher Tory Yamaguchi’s game-winning grand slam Wednesday are just a few of those clutch moments.

The No. 18 IU men’s golf team will host the adidas Hoosier Invitational this weekend at the IU Golf Course as the Hoosiers try to capture their second consecutive first-place finish.

Hoosiers defeat Xavier 10-4

A back-and-forth affair between the IU baseball team and visiting Xavier turned into a blowout after a five-run sixth inning led the Hoosiers to a 10-4 victory.

Team looks to make NCAA splash

Tournament time means only one thing: nothing less than the best. IU coach Ray Looze’s 11 Hoosier men’s swimmer and divers have been waiting all season for the chance to prove themselves as a top 10 team.

Grand slam rockets Hoosiers to victory

One swing of the bat from senior first baseman Tory Yamaguchi was enough for the IU softball team (7-19) to get past Evansville on Wednesday. Yamaguchi’s grand slam in the bottom of the fourth inning broke a 2-2 tie to give the Hoosiers the lead for good. A late home run for the Purple Aces closed the gap, but IU won 7-4.

IU hosts Purple Aces in final non-conference game

The IU softball team kicks off Big Ten conference play this week, but before it takes on top-team No. 6 Michigan (25-3) at 3 p.m. Friday at the IU Softball Field, the Hoosiers will host their last non-conference opponent, Evansville (14-7) at 4 p.m. today.
