Senioritis is a common disease primarily diagnosed in second semester seniors. This epidemic swept through the city of Bloomington early on in January and seems to have infected the majority of the senior class.

The Hoosiers will kickoff the Big Ten Double Dual on Belleville Lake at 9:20 a.m. against Michigan. The afternoon session against Michigan State is scheduled to begin at 1:10 p.m.

This weekend, IU (16-12) gets a shot at revenge against Michigan, as the team begins its first of possibly three postseason tournaments, the CWPA Western Division Championships taking place in Geneva, Ohio.

Child dies from drug overdose, parents arrested for neglect

Brenda Lynn Jay, 21, and Joshua A. Lloyd, 31, are currently being detained at the Monroe County Jail, both facing preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent and possession of a controlled substance. Bond for each of them is set at $100,000 surety and $500 cash.

Ind. criminals might receive longer sentences

House Bill 1006 would change four classes of felonies (classes A-D) into six classes (classes 1-6) in Indiana. This would allow the state to set more proportional and consistent penalties for crimes, according to a news release.

For the first time since 2002, Knight appeared at a public event in Bloomington, a book signing with Bob Hammel at Walmart. The former IU men’s basketball coach greeted an estimated 900 fans during a three-hour span Thursday afternoon.
