Chamber Orchestra plays year's first concert

The Jacobs School of Music’s chamber orchestra, under the direction of conductor Uriel Segal, performed its first concert of the year Wednesday night at Auer Hall.


Conductor David Effron will lead the Jacobs School of Music Philharmonic Orchestra in its first concert of the year Wednesday, accompanied by pianist André Watts.

Renowned pianist joins Jacobs orchestra

The Jacobs School of Music’s Philharmonic Orchestra, accompanied by conductor David Effron and pianist André Watts, will perform 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Musical Arts Center.

Striking a chord

The ninth USA International Harp Competition began July 10 and will wrap up with a final stage performance 7 p.m. on July 20 at the MAC.



World harp competition heads to Jacobs School

The ninth USA International Harp Competition will take place Wednesday, July 10 at the Jacobs School of Music and is expected to draw more than 50 professional harpists to Bloomington, the largest number of contestants since the competition’s inception.
