Former IU All-American and National Player of the Year Calbert Cheaney returns to the IU men's basketball program as the new director of basketball operations on Monday at Assembly Hall. After playing thirteen seasons in the NBA, Cheaney worked for the Golden State Warriors as a special assistant and assistant coach. Cheaney will be taking the vacant spot of Drew Adams, who will become the director of basketball operations at the University of New Mexico.
