Bleill lost both of his legs in Iraq in 2006 when his vehicle was hit with a blast from an improvised explosive device. After a long recovery, Bleill returned to Indiana to take a job with the Indianapolis Colts as a community spokesperson, traveling the country to share his story. He praised the IU Disability Roundtable for its work to make campus more accessible for people with disabilities. Bleill ended his talk by encouraging action. "It's okay to ask for help," he said. "But at the same time it's okay to go out and offer help."
