Students from INPIRG, an independent student organization, ran the photo petition to "mock the idea that corporations are people," said Matt Gough. "It is based around the supreme court decision, Citizen's United, that allowed corporations to give unlimited financial contributions in political elections."

Chad Roeder, who has been running the Downtown Recycling Center initiative for more than seven years, recently announced his plan to step down in July 2014. The fate of the center is uncertain though Roeder said he is talking with various people and hopes that it will continue, run by a group of volunteers or by IU students as part of a curriculum for IU's School of Public Health and Environmental Affairs.
