Coming off a west coast road trip, the Hoosier field hockey team had just one day of on-field practice to prepare for their game against Miami, Ohio, which resulted in a 3-1 loss for the Hoosiers in their home opener last Friday.
IU played host to Miami (Ohio) in IU Coach Amanda Janney’s first home game Friday at the IU Field Hockey Complex. After defeating Miami in the preseason, the Redhawks had the upper hand Friday, spoiling the home opener 3-1.
After opening the season with five games away from home, the Hoosiers (2-3) will play host to Miami University of Ohio on Friday at 3 p.m. to try to boost their record to .500.
