The annual TEDx Talk returns with a variety of speakers telling stories relating to this year's theme, "Uncharted Waters.” The TEDx talk will take place in the IU Auditorium at 6 p.m Oct. 26. Ticket prices start at $15 for students and $25 for the general public. Tickets are available for purchase on the IU Auditorium website.

Eight reverse projector screens were arranged in a 360-degree visual display at the Indiana Memorial Union Alumni Hall on Thursday. The Big Tent, a multimedia presentation hailing from Indianapolis, came to IU for an all-day event combining music, dance and multimedia.

The smell of fried food wafted down Seventh Street on Thursday evening, and the air filled with music and the sound of people chatting. The Showalter Fountain plaza bustled with people and was crammed full of booths and stages as people paused when something caught their eyes, whether it was the dunk tank, the First Nations booth, the food tent or a performance by Hooshir a cappella.

MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE — While the Bloomington campus was enjoying the first week of April, seven IU students hit the road for the National Conference of Undergraduate Research. In December these students submitted abstracts for their research and were accepted to give presentations or participate in poster sessions in their field.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk told the press Monday two people had contacted the private space exploration technology company and paid for a private trip around the moon and back. The trip would take the travelers 300,000 miles or more into space. If SpaceX is able to complete the mission it will become the first private company to send people to the moon.
