Each year officers and instructors screech their tires around the parking lot course as part of their two hours of mandatory vehicle training. “We would do it anyway” said Deputy Marshall Aaron Waltz of Elletsville. The course consists of basic skills, threshold braking, evasive maneuvers, and a section dedicated to controlling the car while in reverse. This is part one of the two part annual training. Part two is pursuit training and will take place in September at Monroe County Fairgrounds.
