Herb & Hanson @ Rachael's Cafe
Herb Manila and Michael Hanson wear the expressions of acoustic gurus, not to mention wildly manicured beards and the faraway eyes of the enlightened. Let it go mentioned too that they're extremely talented musicians. Bluegrass, blues, and ballad strings all converge with whiskey-soaked lyrics to produce the experience of something like contemporary folk and antiquated storytelling. It's music for listening, for wondering, for enjoyment, for drinking, or for killing the silence of the deadening homework hours. A trip to Rachael's Cafe would probably prove infinitely more beneficial for re-rereading your syllabi.
