We're here again. It's Little 500 week - 2012 edition. Traditionally, this is the week where a gigantic act or two are brought into town, bringing with them much fervor and excitement that immediately sells out an arena.

Unfortunately, this year the big ticket is Sublime with Rome playing in Assembly Hall, er, I guess in the auditorium now. Luckily for the rest of us, venues like The Bishop have picked up the slack and are bringing in some talented musicians.

This Thursday night San Franciscan native Hanni El Khatib will be under the lights at The Bishop playing through his debut album Will the Guns Come Out. For any White Stripes or Black Keys fans in the area, El Khatib's garage-soul thrashing is a can't-miss show.

A primarily solo act, El Khatib is joined by friend Nicky Fleming-Yaryan when performing live. The two have played events such as South by Southwest and Bonnaroo together, and El Khatib's tunes have been featured in HBO's Hung and Californication.

Opening for El Khatib will be the Brooklyn-based Sundelles and local favorites Charlie Patton's War. For those of you who followed the Battle of the Bands last semester, or are familiar with Bloomington's music scene at all, you'll know Charlie Patton's War put on quite a show in their own right.

So come early, grab a pint, stay later, grab another pint, and enjoy a full night of genuinely good music - all for just $8 (beer not included in that price).
