Bloomington black metal crew Deschain will play their new EP, "Sea of Trees Forest of Gallows," in its entirety at The Bishop Saturday night. With two tracks and close to 40 minutes of music, it's a record that has the potential to launch them to the next level. A vicious blend of Agalloch-like folked-out USBM and the more rockin' side of black metal exemplified by bands like Watain and Immortal, the EP is a quiet masterpiece, and hopefully its epic scope will translate well live. Support will come from fellow locals The Hiatus Flux and Locus Amoenus.
