I highly suggest you guys come and see The Donkeys tonight. Great California jams- sounds like stuff your parents and you would love, because it's just takes on so many influences. Uses so many stuff from the past in a beautiful way that it sounds totally new.

Don't get what I'm talking about? Listen for yourself.

Stream their jams on Myspace.

Or mp3 links available at Pitchfork(whatevs) and LargeHeartedBoy.

OR just go be a romantic and buy it at your local record store.

Don't know too much about the supporting acts, but here's some info courtesy of Spirit of 68 Promotions.

Cinemat on Walnut Street. $5. You can booze if you're 21, but if you're not, don't try to ruin it for the venue/artist plz.

The Country Death (Bloomington alt-country-pop song-wizards)

The Sunflowers (Bloomington indie-folk-pop)

Soft Targets (indie-pop from Tallahassee)

If you can't make it out tonight and want to jam to some great tunes later this week, STAY TUNED. Also check out my album review of the Donkeys' latest on Thursday's issue of WEEKEND. The theme is going to be real sexy, I heard.

Leave me comments if you know any info on these other bands, or stuff going on this week. And hit me up if you go to the show and have some thoughts- I'll be posting my cover later tonight or early tomorrow.

* But please be patient with us as we are just now starting, so there will be some glitches involved. Be gentle.

AND WELCOME TO THE LIVE BUZZ!
