Fellow Live Buzz blogger Katie McKenna and I met up at Landlocked today to catch Maps and Atlases. What a good turnout! I haven't seen a record store look that bumpin' since that scene in "High Fidelity" where Jack Black gets appalled by that dude that doesn't own any JAMC records or Blonde on Blonde.

I could only stay for a short while but Katie told me that the two members there said they're "always excited to play in Bloomington," and that it was their second to last day on tour. Myspace says that they are playing Terre Haute tomorrow, then off on a European tour. Katie said she was really feelin' their last jam, particularly the line "marigolds were in your eyes." Here are some pictures she took:

If you were feelin' their performance too, go out and buy their two brand new EPs at your local record store. Speaking of, here are Landlocked's Top 5 selling albums for the week of 9/8 - 9/14:

1. Okkervil River, The Stand Ins (Jagjaguwar)

2. Calexico, Carried to Dust (Quarterstick)

3. Mogwai, Batcat EP (Matador)

4. Fujiya & Miyagi, Lightbulbs (Deaf, Dumb & Blind)

5. Michael Franti & Spearhead, All Rebel Rockers (Anti)

Hope everyone that makes it to see Maps and Atlases, Nurses and Kentucky Nightmare at Jake's tonight has a swell time!

xoxo
